There is no doubt – the more you know about your potential visitors beforehand, the more precisely you are able to design your program. This also implies that mistakes in the implementation can often be avoided a priori, when a concept is developed solidly.
What do social groups know and feel about the (new) contents you want to present? Where do they come from and what needs do they have? By which method can they best be reached?
Depending on the particular project all of these questions need to be asked if a gripping, innovative concept is to be developed.
